The Mad Metropolis eBook Philip E High
Deceased British author who wrote a number of adventure /space opera type stories, the best of which appeared in Ace Books in the United States, mostly as "Ace Doubles" although some of them may have been edited by Don Wollheim for space considerations (Don was a master editor!) and thus not easy to ascertain. In this one our hero goes thru a number of events which shape the story. Quite entertaining and very readable style.
Note almost all his volumes, even those which did not become Ace books were very entertaining and always very readable.
