This is the seventh of Allan Topol's books. It is excellent. It kept me reading until I finished it. The plot is engrossing and the characters are well developed. For anyone who likes the mystery/spy genre, this is well worth reading.Product details

Our heroine in this story is named Leora Baruch. She and her family were born in Alexandria Egypt. They were also Jews. During this time her father had a profitable
business in Alexandria. When Colonel Nasser became President of Egypt the government seized all of the properties,bank accounts and businesses of the Jews. The Jews in Egypt are forced to move to Israel. Leora's father sinks into a depressed state and just about gives up. Leora finally finds him employment. She then joins the Israeli
Army. After a time of service she first applies and then is accepted in Shai(Israeli Intelligence Service). After showing great potential she is made a member of M-18.
The first thing she does is save a hijacked airplane. She also receives a new name in M-18. She is now called Leora Elon. She is also a skilled assassin fir the Israelis.
One of Leora's goals in M-18 is to kill the master Black September assassin Cherev(the Sword). Many Israeli agents have fallen victim to his killing skills. One of the
victims is Dan Yaacobi who is also a M-18 agent. He was also a romantic interest of Leora. Valuable information is being stolen from the American government and
turned over to Douglas Brett who owns the Douglas Foundation. Scathing stories are being written that tell of the aid that is being given to Israel by the United States.
A man who is employed by the State Department named Jonathan March is put in charge of the investigation. He discovers that a White House employee named Charles Pritchard
is responsible for obtaining the sensitive information. He the passes it on to an employee of the Douglas Foundation. The next person in this conspiracy is Major Husni.
The investigators begin making progress tying up many ends. Major Husni calls upon Cherev. His trademark isto leave a black plastic sword at the scene of his newest murder. Cherev kills several individuals involved in this case. Leora has a showdown with Cherev. This is a very good book. Be saure to read it.
Plot feels sketchy, especially the first half. Main character not very credible. I gave it 3 stars, but wouldn't really recommend it.
This is a story of a young woman that was recruited by Mossad. She goes rogue to settle a score for what the bad guys did to her family. First two thirds are good, then the plot slips into rather far out series of events. The hook is you want to know how it ends for her and her lover since they are both trained killers.
